La Saponaria

LaSaponaria is a laboratory situated in the Marches in Italy. LaSaponaria produces cosmetics in an advanced laboratory, combining traditional handcraft and modern instruments for quality control using fair and local ingredients.

La Saponaria is inspected by external certification office CCPB which verifies with periodical inspections if the products are in fact naturally, the indications on the labels are correct and that the laboratory are really using organic raw material in the recipes. CCPB analyses the single products and controls the whole production chain and the purchase of the ingredients in order to allow the use of the logo „COSMETICI BIOLOGICI".

The ingredients contained in the product were chosen, farmed and transformed according to ethical criteria. Generally they are local and organic farmed products, resulting from the work of small, family led farms or companies who are promoting social projects.

The laboratory also has the logo "FAIR". That means that one or more ingredients contained in the product come from FAIR TRADE projects certified by international organizations. These are organic raw materials coming from Sri Lanka, India and Peru for which it is recognized a fair compensation for the workers involved in the production process.
